How it works The HandySitt is extremely easy to fit onto different chair types, but to help you understand and to fit the Handysitt properly we have created three pages. Square Back Chair First, measure across the top of the chair to determine the width of the chair back - this needs to be greater than 34cm (13½"). Then measure from the seat of your chair to the top of the back of your chair to determine the height of your chair back - this measurement should be between 30cm (12") and 48cm (19").
Round Back Chair
First, measure across the widest point of the chair back - this needs to be greater than 34cm (13"). Then you need to determine the HandySitt "Connection Points", i.e. where the HandySitt will be attaching to the chair. The Connection Points will be 15cm either side of the middle of the chair back. Measure from the seat of your chair to the height of these Connection Points - this measurement should be between 30cm (12") and 48cm (19").
Ladder Back Chair
First, measure the distance between the 2 uprights of the ladder back. This needs to be greater than 30cm (12"). Then work out your HandySitt "Connection Points". On ladder-backed chairs the top rung is often too high for the HandySitt so the next rung down can be used. Measure the distance from the seat of the ladder backed chair to the most suitable rung or Connection Point - this measurement should be between 30cm (12") and 48cm (19").
