Travelling with babies can be a surprisingly delightful experience, as long as our fulfilment of their basic needs is kept pretty much on schedule - their schedule. Put them in a car seat or sky cot and as long as they haven't missed a feed or are due a nappy change they usually just fall asleep and then awake refreshed when it's time to eat again.

Extra Time

Always, always leave extra time to get to where you want to go - babies cannot be scheduled - if you allow yourselves an extra half an hour you can satisfy the need for an extra feed, another change of nappy, change the blouse your baby has just possetted on and still get to where you are going on time!
