Motion Sickness Morning Sickness

There is no evidence of a link between pregnancy and motion sickness but increases in either altitude or temperature can bring on or aggravate morning sickness. The main cause is low blood sugar, but pregnancy hormones may irritate the stomach directly. As these symptoms usually occur in the first trimester, then abate; perhaps consider delaying your travel plans.

Dehydration is common at high altitudes and hotter climates so be sure to boost your fluid intake, don't just carry bottled water drink it!. Food will provide relief from nausea, so take plenty of high carbohydrate food snacks with you like cereal bars and eat little and often. Glucose sweets are handy and an easy way to help prevent nausea due to low blood sugar and sucking a mint can also help quell queasiness.

Spritzing your face with a cooling and calming skin mist feels really good especially in warm weather or during air travel, it can also be used in baby's bath once he/she has arrived.
